NCSoft, I hate you.
A while ago, some creep stole my account(god knows how, never used my email on anything. must have been easy password I guess.) and it was not registered to any PlayNC account, and now that I got my account back, it is registered(Guess he entered the store.)
Yes, I have emailed them, no they cannot change it or anything like that.
So, now I have to waste money(stamps) and send them my original access key inserts and a copy of your sales receipts(God knows where that is.)
So, what the **** is the problem you ask? I HAVE TO WASTE MY ******* MONEY FOR THEIR ******* SECURITY HOLE.
Anyone else having problems with NCSoft these days?
Oh yes, I really would like GAILE to look at this.

I am talking about the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing PlayNC account integration(I don't care that it was hacked because getting a password reset is very easy, I didn't have anything important on it), which disallows you to change password/email in-game and instead you have to do it with a PlayNC account that was registered to the certain account, and iirc from my computer maintenance classes, it is a security hole.

I'd have to agree that it sounds like however your account got hacked, it resulted from your actions be it not scanning for keyloggers or giving out your email and having a simple password. I don't see this as NCSoft's fault at all and maybe you should be thankful all you have to pay is the cost of stamps for them to look into fixing your retarded mistake. Associating your game account with a PlayNC master account was intended to make it difficult to hack accounts. Since you didn't bother to do it and he did, it's harder to take the account back.

not gonna get any sympathy here im afraid. you got hacked, thats not anet's fault. the NCSoft account has nothing to do with you being hacked. just be happy you still have your account.

Addition: a good friend of mine got her account hacked. All 18 characters deleted, 300k deleted, numerous weapons etc. Whats more, she HAD linked it to a playNC account, but then she had to go through all the bullshit of finding her playNC account details, then telling them her accounts birthday, then sending them the full list of everything she had added, all codes and anything else.
Then she promised her next born child, right foot, and the back of her brain to them, and they finally gave it her back.
Hackers time to delete her characters: 5 minutes.
Recovery time: 1 and a half weeks.
Need I say any more about the quality of PlayNC's security?

Yea, I am happy that I have my account, but I cannot change email/password, because OF THE INTEGRATED PLAYNC ACCOUNT. Just enter the online store, and you will see that it will automatically integrate your account to some PlayNC account. This happened to my main account as well, integrated, and I have yet to find out what the PlayNC account is.

I'm sorry you got hacked, but complaining here will not help. Contacting ANet/NCSoft is all you can do. I'm closing this before it turns into a flamefest.
